The Selgo variety is an annual form of white sweet clover. In comparative trials with spring sowing, it flowers in the second half of July, which is a later date compared to the Adela or Hubam varieties.
The plant reaches a significant height. Like other members of the species, Selgo contains coumarin, the level of which increases during the flowering period, which requires harvesting before the appearance of flower buds when using the crop for fodder.
The variety is used for fodder purposes, contributes to the improvement of the physicochemical properties of the soil and its enrichment with organic matter, and is also a honey plant.
