Variety description

The plant forms dense clumps up to 120 cm wide. Foliage height reaches 120 cm, and flower stalks can rise to 210 cm. The foliage has distinct variegated coloration with golden horizontal stripes, the number of which exceeds that of the Strictus or Zebrinus varieties. The stems remain upright or slightly arching.
Vegetation begins in late March or April. Flowering occurs in mid-autumn. The plant possesses resistance to Verticillium wilt and deer damage, and is recommended for USDA hardiness zones 5–9. It is used as a specimen plant or in mass plantings, retaining decorative appeal throughout the winter period.
