The variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with a rhizome. Its biomass is characterized by high calorific value, which allows it to be used as fuel in power plants. Micropropagation technology in vitro is used for the propagation of this variety.

Compared to other forms of Miscanthus studied in Central Europe, this variety possesses increased adaptability to unfavorable climatic conditions, including drought periods and low temperatures.
