Variety description

The variety is the result of breeding work involving introduction and selection conducted at the M. M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden. The plant is positioned as a promising source of biomass for energy needs and is being studied for potential use as a feed additive.

Under the conditions of Ukraine, the variety is characterized by rapid growth and completes its growing season in the flowering phase, forming panicles. It differs in morphological traits characteristic of the species, including leaf blade width, stem diameter, and number of internodes. The plant possesses high adaptive potential to local climatic conditions, demonstrating winter hardiness and drought tolerance.

Biochemical studies confirm the energy value of dry biomass, determined by the calorimetric method. The chemical composition of various plant parts has also been studied, including the content of ash, sugars, carotene, ascorbic acid, proteins, and minerals.
