The plant reaches a height of 10–20 cm. The flowers are gathered in dense cone-shaped inflorescences of an ultramarine shade with a white rim along the edge and a light tuft at the apex. The leaves are narrow, dark green, basal, and shorter than those of many other varieties.

Flowering occurs in March–April. The variety has a pleasant fragrance, naturalizes well in the garden, and is considered a winter-hardy perennial suitable for hardiness zones 4–9. The crop prefers well-drained soils.

The variety is resistant to lodging and maintains its ornamental appeal due to sturdy flower stalks. It is well-suited for landscape design, cut flowers, and commercial potting, where it shows a moderate growth rate.
