The variety belongs to the Oriental group of tobaccos. It was developed at the Tobacco Institute in Prilep and is traditionally used in the tobacco industry to impart a specific aroma to smoking blends.

In scientific literature, the variety is mentioned in the context of research into the biological potential of Oriental tobaccos and their resistance to diseases, however, detailed technical parameters of the plant are contained primarily in the originator's specialized documentation.
