The variety belongs to the Krumovgrad ecotype (Basma group) and is valued for its piquant aroma, good burning properties, low nicotine content (1–1.5%), and high sugar content (about 20%).

The variety is susceptible to bacterial leaf spot and tobacco mosaic virus, showing moderate resistance to downy mildew. Maintaining the genetic typicality of the variety requires strict selection during the growing process.
