The variety belongs to the Virginia (flue-cured) type and was originally introduced from Brazil. It is used in the tobacco industry for the manufacture of cigarettes.

During trials, the variety demonstrated higher resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and tobacco etch virus compared to the control variety PVH 09, however it showed lower resistance to black shank and Granville wilt.

Dry leaf yield figures range from 1.93 to 2.9 tonnes per hectare. Detailed morphological characteristics, such as plant height and leaf shape, are not presented in open sources.
