The variety was obtained through selective breeding, partially conducted under organic farming conditions, with the aim of increasing yield and improving development during the juvenile period. The plant is valued for its tannin content, which possesses anthelmintic properties for small ruminants and prevents bloat.

An important morphological feature of the variety is high leafiness and the ability to regrow green mass due to re-blooming throughout the summer. The variety demonstrates stable productivity indicators characteristic of this crop species.
