Variety description

The variety belongs to the mid-ripening group. The growing period until the first harvest is approximately 56 days, and until the seed maturation stage — approximately 101 days. Plants reach a height of 108–112 cm.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases and lodging. Meduviai is suitable for use in pure stands and in grass mixtures; it tolerates mowing for hay and green fodder well, and is suitable for beekeeping due to the nectar production of the flowers.

The variety is adapted to the conditions of Lithuania. It shows the best results when grown on neutral or alkaline, well-drained soils, including calcareous loams and sandy loams. It tolerates increased soil acidity and excessive moisture poorly.
