The variety "Krasen" was bred during breeding research on sainfoin. Within the framework of comparative trials in the period from 2018 to 2020, it showed a higher green mass yield compared to the variety "Ametist donetskiy".

The crop belongs to forage legumes that enrich the soil with nitrogen. Sainfoin is considered a high-protein feed, contains condensed tannins that prevent bloat in ruminants, and is a honey plant. A detailed description of the morphological characteristics of the variety is absent in the publications.
