WIM VAN DEN HOOGEN
10 August 2026
The variety was created as a result of breeding work with a local population possessing broad genetic variability under organic farming conditions. The primary criterion for selection was the ornamental character of the plant, adapted for pot cultivation, while the variety retains properties of an aromatic plant suitable for use in culinary and medicine.
The morphological description of the variety includes an assessment of plant height, bush diameter, habit type, and degree of branching, as well as characteristics of flowering: number of flower-bearing stems, diameter of inflorescences, flower color, and flowering period. The resistance of the variety to low temperatures during the winter period was also investigated.
