The essential oil obtained from this variety contains more than 34 components, among which carvacrol predominates with a concentration of over 60 percent. The product is officially approved in the EU for use in the diets of all animal species, including poultry, swine, and dairy cattle.
The main functional purpose of Vulkan variety oil is to stimulate appetite in animals as a flavoring additive. There is no information in open sources regarding the agronomic characteristics of the plant, such as height, maturity group, and disease resistance.
