The «Hebros» variety is distinguished by the formation of very voluminous bushes, in which the number of stems exceeds 75. The length of the flower-bearing stems varies within the range of 37–44 cm, depending on climatic conditions.
The plant possesses high productivity; the essential oil yield is 8.2–14.4 kg/ha, and the fresh mass is 631–655 kg/ha. The essential oil content in the third year of life reaches 1.1%, while the carvacrol concentration is up to 67.7%.
In the Kardzhali region, the vegetative period lasts from April 20 to May 20; the reproductive period, covering stages from budding to the end of flowering, begins between July 15 and August 1.
