The variety is a bush plant 30–45 cm tall; climbing forms are encountered less frequently. The ripening period is 60–80 days. Pods 14–15 cm long have a yellowish-cream color with a red marbled pattern. Each contains 5–7 large, oval, cream-colored seeds with red-brown spots.

The plant is resistant to bean common mosaic virus. The variety is for universal use: young pods are suitable for eating whole, though it is more often grown for its seeds. After boiling, the seeds have a delicate sweetish taste with nutty notes and a soft, mealy texture.
