The Lidar variety is a representative of Norwegian breeding of timothy grass. The crop is used in agricultural production as forage grass.
The variety is characterized by high yield, the indicators of which are comparable with other known varieties of this crop. The variety is also being studied for its resistance to adverse winter conditions, in particular to the effects of ice crust in northern regions.
