The variety is an intermediate type, where a portion of the plants is capable of forming generative shoots in the year of sowing. The average plant height is 80–84 cm. The variety exhibits pronounced cold tolerance and winter hardiness.
Lexanna is characterized by high productivity of green mass and dry matter, as well as excellent forage digestibility. The variety is resistant to lodging, with an index of about 1.5%. The crop is adapted for cultivation in upland conditions, with seed production being most effective on fertile soils.
