The variety is intended for forage purposes. It was used in research trials to evaluate silage quality and its effect on the diet of ruminants, as well as in grass mixtures with sainfoin and red clover to reduce nitrogen losses.
In field trials, the variety demonstrated good survival in climatic conditions up to the southern part of Norrland. The yield of the variety is comparable to the Alexander variety, with Liglory showing a high volume of the first cut.
