The variety was created as a result of breeding work involving the crossing of Scandinavian and Canadian varieties with subsequent selection under conditions of intensive mixed sowing. The plant has a stem and upper internode of medium length at full heading. Under Russian testing conditions, early inflorescence heading was noted.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, exceeding that of the standard. In the first cut, protein content remains high for a long time, and digestibility decreases slowly; rapid regrowth is observed after mowing. The variety is versatile, suitable for the production of silage, hay, and for inclusion in pasture mixtures on various soil types, including moist and peat soils.
