The variety belongs to the marrowfat pea type. In breeding, it was valued for its high sugar content, low starch content, and the slowed conversion of sugars into starch during over-ripening, which allowed for the preservation of product quality.
The variety was used primarily as source material for breeding vegetable shelling varieties. Currently, the variety is not present in the originator company's active catalogs.
