The plant has a compact, naturally spherical shape. The leaves are oblong-elliptic, glossy, gray-green in color with an irregular creamy-white border; young spring shoots are distinguished by brighter coloration. The stems are thin, with a dark, blackish hue. In late spring and early summer, small, fragrant, purple-brown flowers appear.
At maturity, it reaches 0.9–1 meter in height and width. The variety prefers sunny or partially shaded locations with fertile, well-drained soil, and is resistant to wind and periodic drought. Recommended for USDA hardiness zones 8–11 and tolerates moderate pruning well to maintain shape.
