The plant has a densely branched structure. The leaves are small, narrowly oval or elliptical, have a light green hue, and contrast with the dark brown, almost black stems. In May–June, small purple-brown flowers with a pronounced sweet honey scent appear on the shrub.
The variety is fast-growing. It is relatively drought-tolerant and withstands wind and salt spray exposure on the coast. Cold hardiness is limited; the plant withstands temperatures in the range of -5 to -10°C; in colder conditions, it requires protection or container cultivation.
Used for decorative purposes to create borders, low hedges, and topiary compositions, often serving as an alternative to boxwood. Capable of maintaining a spherical shape without regular pruning.
