The variety has an upright growth habit, increased leaf density, and a deep root system, which ensures drought tolerance. The plant does not tolerate waterlogged and boggy soils well.

Possesses some resistance to a range of phenoxy herbicides but remains sensitive to broad-spectrum herbicides against dicotyledonous weeds. The variety is valuable for its ability to improve the supply of trace elements, such as copper, zinc, and selenium, to animals.

Often used in mixtures with grasses and clover and is one of the components of the Ecotain commercial brand.
