The variety is high-yielding and intended for cultivation for the purpose of obtaining medicinal raw materials, specifically plantain leaves. The yield of leaf mass is 30–40 c/ha.

The plant is a perennial herb with a basal rosette of lanceolate leaves. The leaves are entire or finely dentate and have 3–7 veins. The flowering stems are erect and pentagonal.
