The variety forms a dense turf due to the development of rhizomes and is characterized by a fine to medium leaf texture. The plant shows high resistance to leaf spot, rust, summer patch, and dollar spot, and also exhibits good tolerance to trampling and drought.

Babe demonstrates early spring green-up and allows for a mowing height of 2.5 to 10 cm. Seed germination takes 17–21 days. The variety prefers a soil pH level of 6.0–8.0 and is intended for use on sports fields, golf courses, and for the production of sod.
