The Bensun variety, also known by the trade name A-34, was intended for the creation of high-quality lawns, park areas, and professional sports fields. During agronomic trials and practical application, the variety demonstrated a dense turf and high wear resistance under intensive load.

A key characteristic of the variety is its ability to develop under conditions of partial shading. In modern agrotechnical practice, this variety is classified as historical; therefore, it is rarely found in current seed lists and is more often mentioned in comparative studies of turfgrasses from past years.
