Blue Star is characterized by a fine leaf texture of a saturated dark green color. The plant possesses well-developed rhizomes and shoots and belongs to mid-season varieties.

The variety possesses high resistance to leaf spot, stripe smut, Fusarium wilt, leaf and stem rust, as well as dollar spot. It exhibits good drought tolerance and moderate shade tolerance, and is adapted to soils with low to medium fertility levels.

The plant is suitable for establishing lawns on golf courses, sports fields, in parks, and in residential areas. It allows for mowing at a height from 2.5 to 6.4 cm.
