The variety is a perennial grass with a vigorous rhizome system and medium-width leaves. The plant is distinguished by its ability to maintain an attractive appearance and color during the winter period.

The variety possesses high resistance to rust and good resistance to Fusarium. On a scale of 1 to 9 points, the variety has the following indicators: rust resistance — 8, red thread tolerance — 7, color — 7, salt tolerance — 6, fineness of leaf — 6, turf density — 5, wear tolerance — 4.

Birnita is intended for the creation of landscape lawns and is not a forage crop.
