The variety belongs to the Shamrock type, which is characterized by aggressive lateral spread through the formation of rhizomes. The plant possesses good recovery ability and high turf density.

Bonaire demonstrates high resistance to trampling and good spring regrowth. At the same time, the variety is characterized by poor drought and shade tolerance.

The plant is used for the creation of high-quality lawns, including sod. It is often used in mixtures for parks, sports grounds, and private residential plots.
