Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an interspecific hybrid of Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) and Texas bluegrass (Poa arachnifera). The plant retains the ability to reproduce apomictically by seed, typical of Kentucky bluegrass, while possessing a portion of the genetic material of Texas bluegrass.

The plant has a dark green color and a fine leaf texture. Its main characteristics are the ability to maintain photosynthetic activity at high temperatures and the presence of a deep root system, which allows for effective drought tolerance. The variety is distinguished by rapid rooting and the ability to recover through rhizome development.

The crop is intended for creating lawns in regions with hot summers, where common Kentucky bluegrass is prone to stress. The recommended mowing height is from 3.8 to 8.9 cm.
