The Nimbus variety is a turf-type Kentucky bluegrass. It has been used as one of the genotypes in scientific research dedicated to the study of apomixis and has been included in turfgrass mixtures.

In comparative agronomic studies, this variety is characterized as being used in perennial stands. Indicators of shoot length and panicle characteristics have been cited in specialized comparative reports alongside other varieties, however, detailed data on disease resistance or plant height are limited in the public domain.
