The Rhenus variety is officially registered as a specialized lawn variety and is not intended for use as a forage crop. The plant is a perennial low-growing rhizomatous loose-bunched species.

The variety has the ability to form a strong turf due to the development of underground shoots (rhizomes). It is characterized by slow development in the initial stages of growth, which requires time for the formation of a full-fledged grass stand.
