The genetic basis of the Corred variety is represented by the H-7/1 seedling, which is a descendant of a cross between the Mamaia variety and the H-20/79/1 seedling, obtained as a result of open pollination of the Komsomolec variety.
The fruits of the variety have an attractive appearance and good color. When grown under certain stress conditions, hard fibers may appear in the flesh. The trees are characterized as being well-suited to training. The variety does not possess resistance to Plum pox virus, but is not excessively susceptible to it.
