Constanța 14 is a generative rootstock intended for grafting apricot varieties, rather than for producing fruit as a separate variety. This rootstock was selected and described by specialists at the Fruit Research Station in Constanța (SCDP Constanța).
The rootstock is classified as vigorous and possesses good adaptability to the hot and arid climatic conditions characteristic of southeastern Romania. Trees grafted onto it show stable fruit quality and good compatibility, although as a generative rootstock it may exhibit heterogeneity in planting material.
