The Colorado tree is characterized by high vigor and a semi-erect crown. The variety is self-fertile, flowering occurs early, on average on February 25. The harvest period in Spanish conditions falls between May 5–25.
The fruits are medium-sized, AA/A caliber (47–53 mm), and have an elongated shape. The skin and flesh are orange in color. The flesh has medium firmness and a balanced flavor with a sugar content of about 12° Brix. The fruits are resistant to cracking during rain and are suitable for transportation.
The variety is distinguished by high tolerance to the Plum pox virus (Sharka) and is intended for commercial cultivation for the fresh produce market.
