The variety is the result of breeding work involving the parental forms Bergeron and Baneasa 4/11. Fruiting begins around July 25, which allows for an extended apricot consumption season.

The fruits of this variety have firm flesh. The tree requires regular pruning to maintain crown shape, and protection against scab must be ensured during cultivation.
