Variety description

10 August 2026

The Cotpy variety tree possesses good vigor and a semi-open crown habit. The variety is mid-early in terms of ripening, which occurs approximately 13 days before the San Castrese variety. Flowering occurs early; for high-quality fruit production, the presence of pollinator varieties such as Sylred, Tom Cot, Sweet Red, Spring Blush, or Big Red is required.

The fruits have a round shape and belong to the very large category (size 3A–5A). The skin color is orange with a bright red blush that covers 60% to 70% of the fruit surface. The taste is sweet, with sugar content reaching 10–11 degrees Brix. The variety is distinguished by good keeping quality during storage.
