The variety is the result of breeding work by the Spanish center CEBAS-CSIC. Its development is aimed at obtaining plants that combine self-compatibility, high fruit taste quality, good keeping quality, and resistance to Plum pox virus.
In available publications, information about the variety is most often mentioned in the context of experiments on the influence of deficit irrigation on antioxidant activity, fatty acid profile, and the content of volatile compounds in fruits. Detailed agrotechnical and morphological characteristics of the plant are absent in open sources.
