The EA 5028 tree is characterized by medium vigor and a tendency to form a drooping crown. Flowering is late, the variety possesses resistance to adverse winter conditions, and is self-fertile. Productivity is high, and it enters the fruiting stage early.
The fruits have a round, symmetrical shape and ripen uniformly. The ground color is orange with a red blush covering more than half of the surface. The flesh is firm, juicy, and orange in color. The skin is thick and resistant to damage and spotting.
The variety is intended for commercial production and is aimed at the fresh fruit market due to high transportability and excellent fruit shelf life. Sensitivity to Plum pox virus is currently unknown.
