The variety is an old type-variety typical for Central Europe and is widely used in both commercial and amateur orchards. The fruits have an average weight of 40–50 g, an oval shape with a prominent broad ventral suture. The tree is characterized as medium-sized and forms a crown of medium density.
The variety is distinguished by late flowering and regular yield. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and the production of fruit distillates. Under modern conditions, the variety shows susceptibility to viral infections, in particular to Plum pox virus.
