Variety description

10 August 2026

Fruits of the OUARDI variety have a mass of 41–45 g. The variety ripens before the Canino variety, according to various data — by a few days or 25 days earlier. Flower buds are located mainly on annual shoots.

The variety is resistant to mild winters and blossom moniliosis. In scientific research, the self-fertility status of the variety is debated: early descriptions classified it as self-fertile, however, the results of S-genotyping classify it as self-incompatible.

OUARDI is used as a parent form for breeding new varieties, such as Ninfa and Mariem. In available materials, information on the exact height of an adult tree is not presented.
