The variety belongs to the group of so-called Vesuvian apricots and is part of the local gene pool of the Campania region. It is an old landrace used both for fresh consumption and for processing.

The fruits of this variety are distinguished by an intense aroma, yellow flesh, and yellow-orange skin, which often features red speckles or a blush. The taste of the fruits is balanced in sugar and acid content.
