The Precoce de Sernhac tree is vigorous and productive, with a mid-season flowering period. The variety is self-compatible. Disease resistance is characterized as tolerant to plum pox virus, with noted sensitivity to blossom wilt (Monilinia laxa) and fruit black spot.

The medium-sized fruits have an orange skin with a red blush. The flesh is firm and juicy, the stone is elongated and semi-freestone, and the kernel has a slightly bitter taste. The variety is suitable for transport, fresh consumption, and culinary processing into jams, compotes, and syrups. The harvest ripens in early July.
