Precoce de Saumur is an old French variety with a vigorous tree and a vertical or rounded crown. Fruits weigh 40–60 g, are orange, with juicy, aromatic, dessert-flavored flesh. The variety possesses winter hardiness and relative disease resistance; it ripens in late June – early July.

Precoce di Imola is an Italian variety with trees 3–5 m in height and a broad vertical crown. Fruits are medium-sized, oblong, light yellow, with bright orange, sweet-flavored flesh. The variety is hardy, resistant to diseases, and adapted to a temperate climate; it ripens in mid-June.

Precoce de Tyrinthe (Proimo Tirynthos) is characterized by very early flowering, beginning from mid-February in warm regions, which makes it susceptible to the risk of damage by spring frosts. It is a productive variety with large fruits.
