Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an old French selection, obtained as a chance seedling, and is also known by the name Orangé de Provence. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, a spreading crown, and is capable of reaching a height of 4–6 meters. The plant is self-fertile and has good disease resistance.

The fruits are round-oval or slightly asymmetrical in shape and have an average weight of 40–60 g with a diameter of 4–4.5 cm. The skin is pale orange, sometimes with a reddish hue or spots. The orange flesh is characterized by a tender, "melting" consistency. The winter hardiness of the variety is limited; it withstands temperatures down to -15°C.
