Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is of Hungarian origin, presumably being a chance seedling of the 19th century. Genetically close to the Germersdorfer type group of varieties. The tree is vigorous, forming a rounded dense crown.

Fruits are large, broadly heart-shaped, with shiny dark red skin. The flesh is firm and juicy, possessing a harmonious taste with a slight bitterness. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator varieties.

The variety is characterized as moderately resistant to fruit cracking. The tree is sensitive to low temperatures, but is distinguished by a late flowering period. The variety is considered universal and is used in commercial horticulture.
