Fruits of this variety are characterized by a blunt heart shape, thin burgundy-colored skin, and firm, crisp flesh. The tree in its young age has an upright crown, which over time becomes hemispherical and drooping. Leaves are very large, wide, egg-shaped with elongated edges; shoots are vigorous, thick, and upright.

The variety is considered a local traditional type, presumably being an accidental seedling of the "Germersdorfi óriás" variety. Trees demonstrate sensitivity to frost and susceptibility to cherry fruit fly infestation; conditions for effective pollination are also required.
