The variety was obtained as a result of a breeding program from the crossing of Van and JI 2434. Fruits ripen 40–45 days after the Burlat variety, are characterized by medium to large size, round or elongated shape, purple color, and medium flesh firmness.
The plant is self-fertile (S-alleles S3S3¢), which allows it to be grown without pollinator varieties. The variety is intended for commercial fruit growing, including intensive cultivation systems on clonal rootstocks.
