The Francoska variety is a tree of medium vigor, requiring the use of vigorous or semi-vigorous rootstocks. The sweet cherry is characterized by late flowering and is self-incompatible.
The fruits are of medium size, heart-shaped, with juicy flesh, a pleasant taste, and a medium-length or long, thin peduncle. The variety belongs to the "crunchy" sweet cherry category (hrustavka), ripens 20 days later than the Burlat variety, and is distinguished by regular bearing.
