The variety was obtained by crossing the Ramon Oliva and Germersdorf varieties. The tree enters the bearing stage in the 5–6th year after planting; yields are characterized as abundant and stable. The variety does not have good compatibility when grafted onto Mahaleb rootstock.

Fruit ripening occurs in the second to third ten-day period of June. The fruit is spherical, weighs 6.0 to 7.5 g, and has dark red skin and sweet, firm flesh. The stalk is of medium length. The fruit is intended for fresh consumption and industrial processing.

Studies note the possibility of the variety being affected by plum pox virus (PPV), which requires consideration of the phytosanitary situation when planning plantings.
